PROFILE OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Botany was established in the year 2022 with an aim to impart higher education in science stream in general and Botany in particular. The vision of the department is to create skilled human resource who can be a job provider rather than job seekers with all basic and advanced knowledge in Botany. The department focuses on the study of plant life, offering undergraduate education. The department emphasizes holistic student development, nurturing emotional, academic, social, professional, and global skills.
COURSES OFFERED
The college offers a Bachelor of Science in Botany Major and Minor as per NEP 2020. This course provides a comprehensive exploration of theories and methodologies alongside practical training in plant research. Hands-on research projects and fieldwork foster students’ investigative and analytical skills, preparing them to tackle real-world challenges. Botany courses focusing on plant anatomy, physiology, genetics, ecology, and biotechnology to prepare students for careers in research, conservation, and agriculture.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A STUDENT TO GET ADMISSION
A candidate opting Botany as Major subject in B.Sc. Program must have passed Botany as prerequisite subject at the qualifying examination.
