Profile of the Department:
The Department of Kokborok is committed to promoting the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of Tripura through the study and preservation of the Kokborok language. The department plays a vital role in shaping socially responsible individuals by instilling a deep understanding of their language, literature, and traditions. Courses Offered:
The college offers a Bachelor of Arts in Kokborok Major and Minor as per NEP 2020. This course provides an in-depth exploration of the Kokborok language, literature, and culture, along with practical training in linguistics and creative expression. Students study traditional and contemporary Kokborok literary works, gaining insights into the language’s evolution and cultural significance. Alongside literary studies, students engage in projects to develop translation, creative writing, and linguistic analysis skills.
