The Department of Geography is the newest department that has been offering Honours/Major to the students, along with other general course. It is the innovative department in the college enrolling every year. The department aims to graduate students with excellent results. We work towards resilience and nurturing our students with abilities beyond academics and with life-skills.
COURSES OFFERED
The college offers a Bachelor of Science in Geography Major and Minor as per NEP 2020. This course provides a comprehensive exploration of theories and methodologies alongside practical training in geographical research. Hands-on research projects and fieldwork foster students’ investigative and analytical skills, preparing them to tackle real-world challenges. Geography courses focusing on Physical Geography, Human Geography, Cartography, Geomorphology, Climatology, GIS & Remote Sensing, and Environmental Studies to prepare students for careers in urban planning, research, disaster management, and environmental conservation.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A STUDENT TO GET ADMISSION
A candidate opting Geography as Major subject in B.Sc. Program must have passed Geography as prerequisite subject at the qualifying examination.
